King Emmanuel lll gave Mussolini dictorial powers set to last only a year. In that time, he reshaped Italy's government, economy, and much more, gaining the support of Italians. He soon becomes the Grand a Dictator of Italy and flaunts its power. It soon invades countries around it, even going as far as Northern Africa. He stayed out of WWII until the fall of France made Germany seem unstoppable. They soon made an alliance. King Emmanuel III soon throws Mussolini out of dictatorship and orders his arrest. But still Hitler rescues Mussolini and turns him into a puppet of Northern Italy. Eventually the Axis powers fell, along with Mussolini's reign. |
